The kids always love spending time with the Anderson/Marvel crew! They are as close as family as we can get out here in Cali... Thanks for spending all of the holidays with us...

Memorial Day we hit the tide pools just right!  I love it there. It is so fun to  watch your kids explore the  ocean. 

Birding

Well, as if being married to a scientist didn't put us at the top of the geek squad, now  thanks to Ben and Mandi, our family is obsessed with "birding"! Break out the pocket protecters, no more holding back...  We love our new hobby! It does take us a bit longer to get anywhere because we are always spotting birds along the road, or taking detours to some stinky marsh land, but it has been well worth it! Tanner has now seen over 100 birds! He is getting pretty good (much better than me) at being able to identify birds where ever we go. I am so happy that he cares about something besides sports! Thanks Ben and Mandi!!!  I think we are heading in the wrong direction though. I was hoping that I could help my husband be a little cooler, now I find him even being less social because in mid conversation with people he will be looking for birds and whip out his binoculars, in hopes of a new sighting!! Ben get your web page launched fast so at least we will look a little cool because we are in the know about your sweet page!!!!

Sunset..

So, I was just finishing up my post and looking out the window at this incredible sunset. The boys went out to do a little late night bird watching, and I grabbed a few pics. Mandi, thanks for the tip on the lens. It is the best mother's day present EVER!!!

Weekend enjoying Mother Nature

We had a great weekend bird watching, swimming, hunting banana slugs, collecting moss, and searching for wild flowers.  Thanks Ry for the new lens. I am lovin it!!!

I had to have my trees trimmed today, and I am soo sad. I waited all winter for my Poplar to grow leaves, only to enjoy them for one week before they got butchered. Soo sad............ The tree was getting so big that it could potentially land on our house so it had to be done. Here are the before and afters..

We went with our friends to the zoo last week and had a great time. Abby was so excited she could hardly sleep. Thanks Wenda for coming with us. You made our trip so fun!
