Tahoe.....

We had a great weekend with Tim, Mitzi and their family at their beautiful place up in Tahoe. We felt very spoiled to be staying in such an incredible place right on the water.

We enjoyed a great beach, a new boat, a beautiful hike, paddle surfing, one game of Settler's (Tim we think you are kind-of a wimp), good food, and always entertaining company.

Thank you very much Anderson/Marvel crew. Look forward to many more good memories (hopefully at your place :) !!!

Mother's Day

Ryan and I took the kids to the city to walk across the Golden Gate bridge on Mother's day before I had to go in for knee surgery. There is a some talk about closing the bridge to pedestrians so I wanted to make sure the kids had a chance to go on it. The kids (and Ryan) were a little scared, this is earthquake territory...

We have also had our parents in helping while I wasn't able to get around very easy. The kids always love playing ping pong, reading books and eating Happy yogurt with their grandparents.

And Mom, I still feel sick from eating so many cinnamon crisps from Half Moon Bay..

Thanks to everyone for all of the help. It has made recovery much more fun...

Final Inspection

It has been a long time in the works, but this week we get to have our final inspection on our remodel. Overall we are thrilled with the way it all turned out. A big thanks to Ryan's dad Kevin Watts who was the architect, and Jim McManis who was the general contractor. They both did a great job!

Slight Obsession...

It is finally warm around here, and with the change of weather came the launch of Liberty of London at Target. I think I almost bought the entire line. It is what Abby and I (and even Ry. Got him the tie for his b-day tomorrow shhh!), will be wearing this summer. I am so excited, I could not even sleep. Very fun to see cool floral prints just in time for spring.

crazy weather

We have been having some crazy weather around here. I don't think it has stopped raining all week! My kids are going a little crazy... Hopefully the weather gets better before my house guests arrive tomorrow.

It seems like with kids "someone always gets hurt." More often than not, in our family that person is Tanner (I probably come a close second.. ) I have had over a dozen calls from the school nurse around the 12:30-1:00 hour, that Tan is in the office injured. I have probably gone to school to pick him up at least 5 times THIS YEAR.. Last week he thought he broke his tail bone and said that "there is just no way he could sit in his chair for the rest of the day." This picture is very fitting, seeing that he is injured once again. Tanner needs to remember to "turn it off", or at least down as we say around here. Hopefully his competitiveness will serve him well later in life. He has recently taken up Ping Pong, and has a few big wins under his belt, including beating me, ouch!
